Jawying (Honey) Lyster is a consultant in the HIV, Health & Development team at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Asia-Pacific, Bangkok Regional Hub. Her main focus is on marginalised communities, including LGBTI persons and people living with HIV, through the regional “Being LGBTI in Asia and the Pacific” and HIV programmes. As this year’s co-chair of the Inter-Agency Task Team on Young Key Populations (IATT YKP) she endeavours to encourage youth leadership and entrepreneurship, especially in response to the COVID-19 pandemic which has dramatically changed the economic and employment landscape for young people and key populations. She aims to encourage LGBTI entrepreneurs, through targeted interventions at the regional and national level, to join the startup ecosystem and support their communities through innovative social enterprises.
Originally from London, Jawying is currently based in Bangkok and holds a Master of Science in Medical Humanities from King’s College London.
